National Geographic has a series of videos on their site called Unlikely Animal Friends. It’s what it sounds like: animals you would never imagine together and the stories of how they have become friends. A dog and an orangutan who swim together, a lioness who adopts an antelope cub, a kitten and a crow who wrestle. I guess you could write these off as Youtube oddities, but I feel something more profound watching them. They make me think about how unexplainable it is why any us to connect with another creature, and how awesome that we do. Click “Read More” for the videos.
